How to create and use app passwords for your Microsoft account
If you use Microsoft’s two-step verification. You’ll need to enter an application-specific password. When you setup your Hotmail, Live, Outlook.com or MSN account on your Android device. After you’ve turned on two-step verification, some apps or devices will show an incorrect password error because they can’t prompt you to enter a security code when you try to sign in. It’s really easy to get one, and here are the steps you need to know.
To create another app password :-
- Enter the Security settings on your Microsoft Account and sign in with your Account.
- Enter App passwords, then choose Create a new app password link.
- The app make sure to update the password with the new one.
- Repeat the previous steps to create an app password for each device.
The solution is pretty easy and approachable. I have tried it with two to three apps already and all of them have responded to the new app password. If you are facing any such problem after activating the two-step verification process, you should try this right away.
